ESTP’s are energetic, solve problems dynamically and handle difficult situations in a creative way. They rarely get slowed down by rules and standards and find new methods to use existing systems. They set up easy methods to carry out complex tasks and make their work amusing.
They are flexible, adaptable, inventive, full of resources. They know how to unify opposite factions and work well in a team. They are wanted companions for activities such as evenings, sport or work, because of their capacity to enjoy themselves and make the most of it.
Everything that surrounds ESTP’s stir up their curiosity : activities, food, clothing, people, life and all that allows new experiments. ESTP’s learn better with practice rather than through study and reading, they tend to take part in action and learn on the heap by trusting their capacity to acknowledge things effectively.
ESTP’s tend to be observant, practical, realistic, active and turned towards experience. ESTP’s make decisions based on a logical analysis and reasoning. They can be firm when the situation requires it and have a tendency to be analytical, rational, direct and assured.
ESTP’s are very good at seizing the present needs and act promptly to satisfy them. Generally they prefer adapting themselves to situations rather that making an assessment. They take things as they are and seek for satisfying solutions rather than imposing their own criteria.
ESTP’s are experts when it comes to lifestyle. They passionately love life and plunge into it completely ; others are receptive to their enthusiasm and good mood. ESTP are people of action. Generally they dislike theory and written directives and tend to avoid them.
The traditional school system is puzzling for ESTP’s even though they can obtain good grades when the discipline stirs up their interest. ESTP’s are generally seen as sociable, easy to have fun with, spontaneous, liking risks and adventure.
If ESTP’s can’t find a way to use their talent and be appreciated for their contribution, they feel frustrated and can :
- Hardly accept structures and respect deadlines
- Become self-centered and become caught up in action
- Prioritize pleasure before important obligations
It happens that ESTP’s pay less attention to the functions they dislike the most : Intuition and Feeling. However if they neglect those aspects too much they can :
- Oversight larger repercussions of their decisions and actions
- Forget important dates and events that matter to others
- Show impatience concerning discussions and deepening relationships
In very stressing situations it happens that ESTP’s have pessimistic thoughts and imagine themselves that others aren’t truly interested in them, therefore ESTP’s deform their sensory data to provide 'proof' of this rejection.
